Riders of all skill and fitness levels will begin their ride at participating Virgin Active Gyms alongside experienced lead riders. Ride with absolute peace of mind knowing that mechanical support from Faces Team and route support will help you out of any tough spots.
We offer three groups to accommodate every fitness and experience level. No reason to feel intimidated – there will be a group for you:
Group A: 25 – 30 km/h (Approx 60 km )
Group B: 22 – 25 km/h (Approx 30 km)
Group C: 20 – 22 km/h (Approx 30 km)
There is no need to rush off after your ride. Kauai offers delicious post-ride brunches and lunches, which will be for the rider’s own account. Non-Virgin Active members will receive a voucher, entitling them to access and use the gym’s facilities for the day.
Registration opens at 06h30, with Group A leaving at 07h00. Groups leave 10 minutes apart. Medics and*remove Faces sweep vehicles will be on standby, SARZA and ThinkBike will guide you out on route.
Age Limit: 12+
Parking Instructions: Parking is available in the basement parking at Virgin Active Broadacres.

In celebration, Virgin Active Train Joburg will host two special Women’s Rides on 13 and 27 August. Join us for a safe and fun cycle through the Cradle in preparation for the Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg cycle race.

Stay for a bit of a chat after your ride. Kauai offers delicious post-ride coffee, brunches, lunches, or smoothies (*For own account, please). Riders who are not members of Virgin Active will receive a voucher to access Virgin Active Broad Acres to enjoy the Gym’s amenities after your ride.
Virgin Active Train Joburg mountain bike outrides are back at Steyn City every Wednesday.

To make sure you’re prepared, here’s all the ride information you’ll need.
Venue: Steyn City, Cedar Road Entrance
Registration- 14h30
Time- 15h00 until 18h00
Access to the venue is only through the Steyn City Cedar Road Gatehouse and an original driver’s licence is required.
Riders will also need to show proof of registration to be granted access to the venue via the gatehouse (this will be sent to you as a QR code via WhatsApp).
Parking will be available at the Equestrian Centre inside the parkland residence of the estate.
Riders that want to do more than 25km can then take the 10km loop for extra distance
Once you’ve finished your ride, visit The Equestrian Centre for a delicious build-your-own burger or chicken prego along with a local beer or glass of house wine at R120 per head
