947 Ride Joburg MTB taking place on 13 & 14 November 2021 at Steyn City, provides you with the perfect opportunity for leaving the Joburg tar behind.
Steyn City in collaboration with Faces Ride Joburg has pulled out all the stops to bring you a thrilling network of hand-built mountain bike trails within the perimeter walls of Steyn City. Spectacular features were added to create a true adrenaline-pumping mountain bike adventure for riders of all levels.
On 13 November 2021, the 5 km KIDS MTB, 10 km KIDS MTB and 25km MTB rides will be hosted. The 5km and 10km trails are perfect for the wild, adventurous youngsters while the 25km is suitable for beginner and intermediate riders. The 25km is tougher than the distance suggests, with a total ascent of around 400 meters. If you prefer the dirt instead of the tar, then these events will give you an ideal introduction to the sport of mountain biking.
The 50 km MTB ride takes place on 14 November 2021. The route is action-packed, leading riders on thrilling trails past dams, across rivers, zipping up and down lush river-side singletrack and super fast golf cart tracks while cyclists keep an eye out for indigenous wildlife. While the 50 km is a test for the skill, pace and endurance of fit and technically proficient riders.
Please take note that we are running events under Covid-19 regulations. Should participation numbers need to be reduced to comply with Covid regulations, participation will be on a first-in, last-out basis. Those who entered first will receive preference.
Faces Ride Joburg offers a full refund should the event be cancelled or downsized due to Covid related reasons.
