Crank up your ride for a purpose campaign for 947 Ride Joburg

We invite you to, once again, crank up your Ride for a Purpose campaign for the 25th edition of the 947 Ride Joburg, taking place on Sunday, 21 November. It’s the same adrenaline-pumping challenge you’ve come to love, but with exciting changes in the mix.
The start and finish of 947 Ride Joburg Road will be at Nasrec / FNB Stadium, Johannesburg – a large venue that offers the possibility for growth and expansion over the next few years. A fresh, slightly longer route of 97 km showcases the city of Joburg like never before. We’re shutting down some of the busiest roads in Africa to offer cyclists of all abilities a chance to cruise the traffic-empty streets of Joburg in safety.
Since its inception in 2011, the 947 Ride Joburg Ride for a Purpose initiative has helped countless charities raise over R103 million enabling these organisations to continue the good work they do, touching lives across the nation. We are determined to raise the bar in support of good causes while doing what we love – riding our bikes!

947 Ride Joburg offers even more exposure for your organisation across all our events! You will also have the opportunity to rally your charity riders for the 947 Ride Joburg MTB and Kids rides that are held on 14 and 13 November 2021 respectively. Hosted by the flamboyant Steyn City, mountain bike riders can experience the freedom of nature right in the middle of the Urban Joburg Jungle.
Team Entries close 30 September 2021. However, should participation numbers be limited to comply with Covid-regulations – entries will be considered on a first-in; last-out basis. Entrants who entered first will receive preference. So don’t delay!
The organisers, Faces Ride Joburg, guarantees entrants a 100% refund should the event be cancelled due to Covid or should numbers be reduced to comply with regulations.
947 Ride Joburg looks forward to having YOUR Ride for a Purpose Team toeing the start line for a phenomenal day out on the streets of Joburg.
